I just made my mom a Beauty Box. My mom has hair stuff and make up but she buys the cheap stuff. So, I got her the nicer stuff.
Make up remover–hair products—eye shadows—powder—mascara–moisturizer.
A nice frame and a family picture. I know my mom can never have too many grandkid pictures.
Get a manicure gift certificate for the both of you and go together.
My dad always says that, but we always get him something. He always appreciates it too. How about a throw blanket? Some books? Hand lotion or perfume? How about a watch or some jewelry? Calender? Theres many things! I always do gift cards! I always get my mom like a 25$ gift card to Starbucks! She loves it! She got like 5 last year from all of my family.
me and my sister take pictures and frame them and give it to our parents every year.
something creative this year i also got my mom a new cute shirt because she has lost 35 pounds so she can fit into mediums so i wanted to do something that would congragulate her in a way
What about putting together a scrapbook of old photos, either of yours or of your family? Does she have a box of random photos? Throw those in too. I gave this present to my grandparents a few years ago, and bought those baseball card protectors for their smaller black whites and sat there with them and talked all about their old friends, etc. That part was in my opinion, the best part of the gift–just being able to reminisce and spend quality time together. Remember when, and all that. Doesnt’ have to be anything fancy unless you get into that stuff (Dollar Stores even have a nice scrapbooking section now). I would just get a three ring album and start from there.
most moms love candles and bath stuff.
or try a gift card for a manicure or pedicure.
merry christmas
oh my mother is THE WORST about this!!! I totally feel your pain. For her Birthday this year I was so sick and tired of getting her gift cards that just lay to waste, so I thought of something that I would like to have. I found and then bought her the Nintendo DS with that game ‘Brain Age’. The great thing about that is, you are not required to have a Phd in electronics to work the machine and if she does turn out to like it then you can just buy her games for subsequent holidays/birthdays. If that is a little too pricey, then maybe a new digital camera with pictures you have taken of yourself in fun places to give to her.
But then again I am 31 and still struggle with this same question… Thanks for asking it!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
For me, since I’m just 11, my school had a Christmas Shop and I bought my mom a Marvelous Mom platform.
How can a card or a letter of appreciation for the things she has done for you and what she means to you be too informal. That would mean more to her than anything you could buy especially if she has already told you not to.
i got my mom a foot messager
