well you could get him his first cross on a small chain that he could wear during the ceremony or his first bible and to make it personal write a note addressed to him and put it inside .. many years from now, when he is grown it might make a wonderful surprise to him to read a note you wrote to him when he was just a baby, who knows you could start a new family tradition. Best wish to you and yours on this special occassion, and for a wonderful year *S*

Give him the gift of not christening him and waiting till he is old egnough to decide if that is the religon he wants. I will be waiting till my son is old egnough and let him make his own decisions and not make him believe in the same beliefs that I have.

We had a similar problem when looking for our son (now almost 9 months). You might think about getting a cross to hang in his room, either on the wall directly or in a shadow box with fabric or special paper behind it. Another idea is to get a picture frame/double frame with a prayer/scripture and room for a picture from that day. Or you could consider framing a prayer/scripture to hang in his room. Are there any family traditions for this occasion? Even if you don’t remember any, other family members might know of something. We received a cross to hang, and hope it will be a good reminder for him as he gets older. Hope this helps!

Sterling Silver is perfect for a christening gift. You can get a sterling silver baseball piggy bank and have it engraved with your sentiments to your son. A lovely gift.
Try looking online for christening gifts or things remembered has many like that. Congrats on his christening!!!!
