~*oneonly*~ asked:

hi everyone
well my friend is getting married very soon and i ain’t got a clue what to get for a present.
This will be the first wedding ive been to and am one of her bridesmaids she is 25 and lives with her soon to be husband and has a baby so she doesn’t really need anything for a house.
Any good suggestions.
thanks you in advance.

Has she registered anywhere? If yes, start there.
If not, you could maybe get her some things that would be used up – - flavored oils for the kitchen, soap lotion bubble bath for the bathroom.

You could get her some nice lingerie or something. A gift card maybe to a spa or something would be really nice.

To find out if they are registered anywhere, you can just ask her or look online yourself. In my area, Bed, Bath, and Beyond as well as Target are two big places people register. You can just go to their websites and click on the bridal registry tabs to see if your friend is on there.

Personally, I think money is always wonderful to give. However, are there memberships to a club, museum, or anything like that that would be up her alley? Thinking outside the box a bit could lead to a really thoughtful gift.

If she hasn’t registered any where you can always get her a gift card.
    Some gift ideas:

If they are outdoorsy type people or travelers:

    *luggage
    *barbecue items
    *camping gear
    *picnic basket set
    *outdoor games

If they like to entertain guests:

    *pitchers/punch bowl
    *shot glasses
    *wine glasses
    *3 tier swivel step server
    *3 tier serving bowls
    *chip n dip serving sets

It really all depends on what kind of people they are.
    Best of luck!

Hopefully, she already registered. If she has, find out where. If she is not registering for gifts (I would be very surprised if she did not), I would buy her a cookbook that centers around cooking for two and some kitchen necessities (you can even add a gift certificate to a local home store such as Bed, Bath, and Beyond). Wrap the items in a gift basket.

Most brides register so they don’t get a bunch od duplicate or unwanted gifts. Find out where your friend is registered and what’s on her bridal registry, and then just pick the gift you want to give off the list.

Like someone above said, A Gift Card to a spa would be one of those things she wouldn’t splurge on for herself, but as a gift it would be nice. Make a plan for you two to go together, sort of an away from it all ..relaxing day.

Some elegant Lingerie is good. When I got married I really liked the very personal gifts. I ended up getting my parent’s embroidered handkerchiefs and it was a great keepsake.
