What would be a good wedding present that could go in the bedroom?

jennifer h asked:

I am going to a wedding shower next weekend and I want to buy them one present for every room, except I can’t thing of anything for there bedroom…all they have in there is a bed and a small vanity, no night stands or anything. I asked them for some ideas and they said they don’t know, there is no theme in the bedroom, not even a certain color that they want. Any ideas would be very helpful. I am looking for something that is no more then $20-$25. Thanks!

how about a nice lamp, or a picture for the wall….even a nice quilt to get them inspired towards colors/theme. But honestly… sheets would be most practical….everyone always needs sheets.

Candles, a blanket or throw, a cute pillow, something for the wall.

    How about an alarm clock?
I dont know… your options are pretty limited. Maybe you could get them a night stand since they dont have one. ;)

Sheets, a throw pillow for the bed, an alarm clock, his and hers brush sets, nice hangers for the closet, cedar pieces for their dresser drawers (to keep moths away), water glass and pitcher for the nightstand, a nightlight, his and hers sleep masks.

Here’s hoping something in that mish-mash was helpful!

Candles. They are very romantic too.

take a look about the room and see if you can find a theme, or a certian color. They may not recongnize that there is a theme but you might.

And if you dont, just get something that would kind of get a theme started. Ask her if she had a dream bed room what would she want in there. Give her the inspiration to go forward with it.

I love the idea given about sheets.. Very practicle.
    a nice alarm clock.
    Robes and slippers.

you could gift them their photo as a couple in a big wide frame (it should be something unique the frame)so their wall and the bedroom will look personal and homey.

Are you crafty? Make them a no-sew fleece blanket.
    Here’s a link to a free how-to:

I’ve made a number of these in all kinds of colors, and even used remnants of velvet and such, instead of fleece. It fits
your budget (and mine), it’s original, it’s machine-washable,
and they’ll love you for it!

Some nice high-thread-count sheets are always a really nice gift. Or some nice padded hangers for delicates,

If you know the bedspread color you could possibly get some accent pillows. You get a couple of occasional tables found at Walmart, Kmart, etc. which are usually around 8 to 10 dollars, that they could use for night stands.

If they don’t have a bedspread, that would make a nice gift as well. Good luck in you search.

A nice scented candle, an antique bed throw, sheets, a nice throw rug. Have some photos of their engagement period done in black and white and framed in nice shadow boxes perhaps glass shadow boxes. Just some ideas of a few possible gifts.
