If not tho A nice toy for when baby’s bigger or some clothes? babies can never have enough clothes.
get in touch with your local paper and get a copy of one from the day she was born.
A beautiful personalized blanket embroidered with her name or a special baby blanket. Also a personalized picture frame or album is always a great gift. My friend crocheted a blanket for my son and it was very special.
The best thing to do is ……..Ask your friend what she wants you to get her……..if you don’t want to do that then you can always get her a college fund started. What did you get her first daughter……..don’t get too extreme off of that gift…..you don’t want to be judged by other friends.

how about a nice jewelery box and a pretty necklace to go in it. Thats what i just bought my neighbours little girl for her 1st birthday a few weeks ago, everyone commented on it.
I’m making my girlfriend a diaper cake and adding the things that are expendable to it that she did not keep from the first child. Items like – teething ring, toothbrush, new rattle, bath products etc.
You could also get a gift certificate for a photography session. My aunt is a photographer and she offers a Watch me grow package. This includes photos of the baby at birth, 3mths, 6mths, 9mths and a year. She comes to the new parents home so no travelling involved, it can work around nap times and if the baby needs a feed she waits while the baby is feed. I’ve given this as a gift and the parent just love it.

Well, since she has already been through this, she probably has almost everything she needs. I would get her a mother’s necklace, a necklace with her birthstone in the middle of a heart, with dropping pendants from the bottom of the heart with her childrens’ birthstones in them. my daughter is expecting a second daughter.and i would stick with clothes.and a pack of nappies.they always come in handy as babies grow out of their clothes so quickly.never buy new born clothes though always three to six months as baby grows really quick.
go to argos and you can buy a cast mold you make it yourself its really easy when its still wet u get the childs hand or feet push it on it and it makes an imprint i have one of my son and daughter and they r really great when the child is older u can show them how small they were i think its only £7.99 hope this helps
Perhaps a cross-stitch with her name,date of birth,weight etc on….this will clearly be just for that little girl and its also something she can keep when she is older too.
I’d go with one of those cast moulds you can do of the hand or foot.
Maybe a Sit-n-stand stroller, or a wagon.
Another good idea is to go to someplace like Dinner’s Ready which has meals made up with minimal preperation at home, give a gift certificate or buy a meal or two for their freezer. I have two daughters and my baby shower for my second daughter was a casserole shower, and my freezer was filled with all sorts of different kinds of foods for us to eat after the baby was born. WAY better than a billion onesies!
Another gift I always appreciate is books or music for babies and toddlers.
Or if you want to go the more traditional route, find a one-of-a-kind, heirloom quality dress for the baby. I liked getting things in size 6-9 months or bigger because you always have way more of the tiny sizes than you can ever use.
