What is a good homemade 25th wedding anniversary gift for a couple?

Nikkie Y asked:

It is going to be my cousins 25th wedding anniversary and I would like something very creative and different to give them. I really wouldn’t prefer anything like a poem or a CD. Any suggestions??

My parent’s 25th wedding anniversary is next June and since I am a college student and my brother is only a junior in high school, we are planning now for obvious financial reasons. I am planning on making a scrapbook with some pix of my parents from ‘the early years’ until now. I’m no good at scrapbooking so I’m going to get a kit and put my own spin on it. I don’t know if you could do this for your cousin (if you have access to some pix) but I think it’s a creative idea for a nice piece of memorabilia and you can always elaborate on a scrapbook and make it special and unique.

    I hope this helps!

A sterling silver tea set or serving tray would be just perfect: Traditionally, by the way, the 25th is the silver anniversary. GET IT? :-)

What about bedding set? I visited web-store offers this unique product as personalized gift. One of the product I’m interested to order is photo pillow. You can give them pillow decorated with their wedding photos. But actually there are still more option of personalized gift you can find in this store. Visit the link in the source box to see more. I hope this information help you.

Since it is the silver anniversary, maybe get and old picture of them and put it in a silver picture frame. You could put that in a silver gift basket with other themed gifts – silver candles, a silver pen, etc. That could be fun.

If you’re really handy, you could get some inspirational coins/trinkets (silver colored, of course) and make some bands for them to wear.

In the end, if it’s personal and thoughtful, they’ll love it.

You should bake them their favorite cake or sweet with their names written on it…

And that way, it would contain their names, would be cheap, AND would be yummy!! They will love it and really enjoy it.

A good homemade gift would be a personalized book about their life. There is a company in Florida that creates extremely well made coffee table books about peoples family histories, personal histories or whatever. I got this for a present for my dad and he said it was the best gift he’s ever got. The company is, they have gift certificates that are a certain number of pages towards their book so they can be involved in creating it. You wont regret it.
